Kirlin Luminaires Used In Project: LRV-07469

Specifier: Mazzetti

With a history of aggressive behavior from patients against the staff in behavioral health facilities in the Portland, Oregon area, four healthcare delivery systems, Adventist, Kaiser Permanente, Legacy, and OHSU collaborated together to create a safe and secure environment for adult and adolescent patients and staff.

The four hospital groups chose Mazzetti to design a state-of-the-art facility that would reduce agitation and instill a sense of well-being for adults and adolescents. To give this new facility the look of modern sophistication, Mazzetti chose 540 units of KIRLIN’S attractive 7” downlights (LRV-07469), approved by the New York State Office of Mental Health for its highest risk environments.  These vandal- and ligature-resistant downlights were placed throughout the facility, keeping patients, staff, and the public safe from any potential harm.

With safety as the foremost requirement, Mazzetti and KIRLIN provided Unity a behavioral health lighting solution with continuity of design throughout the facility.
